After showing the yellow card to Ms. James for dissent (see above), I instructed Ms. James to leave the field pursuant to 12-8-1 PENALTY. Ms. James insisted that she was not required to leave the field. Again, I instructed Ms. James to leave the field in accordance with NFHS rules. Ms. James then cooperated and began to leave the field, but as she walked past me toward her team area and before I beckoned on a substitute to replace Ms. James, Ms. James called me a "bitch." As a result of this remark, Ms. James was determined to be guilty of using insulting language toward the referee. Accordingly, Ms. James was disqualified and shown the red card. Ms. James left the field to her team area and Lone Peak was required to play with 10 players for the remainder of the game. |
