After being called out, for hitting the ball with one foot completely out of the box, #2 said, "that's bull-shit". I walked down to Coach Williams in the 3rd base dugout and said, "that's a team warning for language". I paused & wrote down the warning. During the next batter's at bat, from the dugout, but loud enough for me to hear, #2 said, "why don't you give the warning to my face". I then heard her & another player say (again from the dugout, but loud enough for me to hear), "what did you say?", #2's response was "'you piece of shit'". At that point, #2 was ejected, and I informed Coach Williams she needed to leave the field area and be accompanied by an adult, as she headed toward the bus. No other issues occurred during the Varsity game. Base umpire was Rick Heilbut. Carbon won the game 28-2. |
