Billy Evans was the calling official for both Unsportsmanlike Behavior penalties. First penalty was 2:09 of the 3rd quarter. #9 from Provo received a pass close to the goal line and stretched for the pylon. His feet were out of prior to the ball getting to the goal line. The covering official was deliberately slow making a call so that he could get a good look at the feet and the ball. He ruled the player out of bounds which caused #9 to yell at the Billy to "Make a Call", "Do your Job" and then "Why don't you make a Call". Billy then threw the flag for Unsportsmanlike behavior. Second penalty came with 5:29 in the 4th quarter. #9 from Provo had made a run and was hit in bounds and driven out of bounds. When he jumped up he started talking to the player who hit him. As the covering official started to move towards the out of bounds spot, #9 proceeded to flip the ball at the defender. This received the flag for his second Unsportsmanlike penalty. |
