During the first minutes of the 3rd quarter, the head coach disagreed with a foul against his team and got up and very loudly expressed his angst while pacing his box-trying to draw a lot of attention to himself and his displeasure. This was the first technical foul issued. He was also warned by my partner a few minutes after that to calm down after a foul was called in his favor. Up to this point, we had a foul count in the game of no less than 30 fouls called and they were about even for each team or slightly in his favor.
The second technical came late in the third quarter when he disagreed with a foul against his team and while I came to the table to report the foul, he came onto the court into my face and expressed his displeasure so the whole world could hear it. I listened and let him finish and then calmly told him he needed to leave the visual confines of the court.
At the end of the contest, we had close to 40 fouls-give or take-and we ended very even for both teams. |
