Lance Kenross Football 2016-10-20 Paul Husselbee With 23 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter and Desert Hills leading 28-7, there was an altercation after an incomplete pass. The covering official, linesman Tim Welsh, reported that during the altercation, Desert Hills' no. 14, Lance Kenross, threw a punch at a Snow Canyon player. Tim flagged a dead-ball personal foul and said the nature of the punch was such that it merited immediate ejection. I did not see the incident; however, I trusted Tim's judgment and ejected Kenross from the game.
NA GirlsBasketball 2016-12-17 AnthonyHeintzelman GBB player #2 of Desert Hills was ejected upon receiving a second technical foul by myself, the R. The first technical was charged to #2 by the U (Jake Dalton). Bear River player had the ball underneath the basket when Desert Hills player #2 went for the ball. They went to the floor fighting for it and I blew the whistle (I believe I was going to call a jump ball). As they were coming up from the pile, Desert Hills #2 had the ball and threw it obviously intending to hit the Bear River player who was still on the ground. Technical foul #2 was given for her player conduct in addressing the official. Bear River player successfully recovered a rebound and made an attempt to progress with play. #2 grabbed a hold of player ankle; I allowed the action to see if she had intended to let go, she did not and BR player was hindered. While moving to report to table, #2 had made a remark to the BR player (indistinguishable) and directed her " to leave her be, plays over" Upon reporting foul, #2 came up and spoke very frankly, that I had made a "crappy call" whilst amongst players and reporting table. Second T was administered. In follow-up with Coach of DH team upon request about the Technical, I stepped to speak with Coach near her bench and gave her a quick detail of what had transpired.
