In the 35th min. the Murray Goal Keeper can to the side of the goal area to punch the ball away. The Hillcrest attacker was able to head the ball over the Keeper into the goal. But after the keeper missed the ball he continued on and struck the attacked in the head. A Red card was shown for Serious Foul Play and the player dismissed. Sorry but I assumed the keeper would be identified on the roster and the furry right after the foul and card I did not get his number. |

Upon a play ending with #58 making the tackle. #58, while disengaging from the runner, purposely kneed the opposing tackled player, while the opposing player was attempting to get up off of the ground. This incident occurred at 9:54 in the fourth quarter of the game. |

During the Hillcrest v.Murray game on Tuesday 10/17/17 ,I ejected #56 on Murray after receiving his 2nd UNS penalty.
He received his first unsportsmanlike penalty in the first quarter. I believe that was thrown by either Larry killips or Sean Newell. In the second quarter after being involved in a tackle he turned and taunted the opposing team drawing his second unsportsmanlike penalty. He also during a play in the second quarter Turned and pointed at the opposing team while he walked from the sidelines all the way back to his huddle which I did not penalize, instead giving him a verbal warning. |

Number 56 from Murray was told early to tuck in his undershirt by the umpire Shawn Newell, he gave Shawn a little back talk about it. Shawn sent him off to fix the problem. The player laughed at Shawn and all the way to the bench. While on the sideline, one or two plays,he fixes the problem. #56 is talking the whole time that he comes back into the game. He makes a very good block on a Hillcrest player, stands over him and yells out "now that's a pancake block baby"! He receives his first unsportsmanlike at about the 11 minute mark of the first quarter for taunting. Murrays coach didn't say a word!Player #99 from Hillcrest, also received an unsportsmanlike flag for the use of the "F" word back at #56. Now, players from both teams are now talking back and forth to each other. Shawn stands over the ball and gets everyone's attention and tells them "the trash talking stops now and talk only to your respective team"! Things settled down for a bit and the players play. Moving on to the second quarter. #56 at the 10:41 mark, gets his second unsportsmanlike flag for taunting after a hit.
Moving to the second half. Before we started, I called in the captains from both teams & the head coaches. I told them that we had (5) unsportsmanlike fouls and one ejection. I informed them that anyone receiving an unsportsmanlike foul in the second half will and would be ejected! The coaches DID NOT object to what I stated to the players. The game went on with little or no problems until the fourth quarter. At the 9:41 mark, #58 from Murray was blocked during a sweep, he and the player that blocked him went to the ground. #58 got up first, and as the Hillcrest player started to get up, #58 kneed him in the head. Both Shawn & I threw our flags and immediately ejected #58. He knew what he did, and walked straight off the field. Only one coach from Murray asked what he did, and it wasn't the head coach! After that, the rest of the game went smooth.
Jeff, I just want to say in closing, not at anytime did I hear, other than from the Murray players, a Murray coach talk to their kids about just playing and stop talking. They said nothing about the ejections and neither did the Murray fans. |

On Wedensday 4-18-18, I ejected #8 - Devin Brown in the 3rd inning of the JV game after verbally warning the player that his comments to me were unwarranted as well as unsportsmanlike. I informed the coach (JV) of the warning. His comment to me after I called a strike on him was "you cant see shit". I immediately warned him. On the next pitch, the runner at first stole second base with a throw down by the catcher. The player looked at catcher, turned to his bench and said "this guy cant throw shit" rather loud. I warned him again and told him that comments to opposing players that were derogatory were not appropriate. He said your just a piss ass umpire. Ejection at that point. |

In the second inning I called a balk on the pitcher for Murray High School Sophomore team. He threw his hands up and aggressively started to argue with me, after I told him to quit. He stated that it was bull shit. At that time I ejected him. He then continued to declare that it was fucking bull shit many many times and threw equipment in the dugout. I that time I told the coach that he needs to be removed completely from the dugout an area surrounding. |
