Explained to coach while time was stopped for his sub, that I was stopping time for excessive subbing, being irritated about the rules he yells "that's bullshit" right in front of his bench and everyone within hearing distance. After showing him the red card he approached me in an aggressive manner getting in my face trying to intimidate or trying to get me to fight with him. |

58th minute, GK came out of the penalty area, fouled the opponent who had the ball at his feet, headed toward goal, just outside the penalty area, with no other defender between him and the goal and therefore denied an obvious goal scoring opportunity by foul and was shown the red card |

This again was one that I through out the game to talk to him and get him to just play and not be so worried about his team mates or the other team or even anything I called or did not call. Most of the time he seemed to be responsive to what I would say and would go 7 to 8 minutes sometimes less before having another out burst. Well I called on obvious off side and he did not like that at all. So he approached me and kept questioning how I could make such a call. I explain where players where when the pass was made and while I was literally two feet from him he said FUCK (something) somewhat softly as he turned and started to walk away. So I blew my whistle and showed him the red card. To which he could not believe of coarse. Funny part about this is as he turned to see me show him the card the first words from his mouth where "I didn't say anything"...........At that point I did not say that he had. So then he asked why the red card, to which I explained that kind of language is absolutely not tolerated. He said a bunch more in Spanish to some of his buddies, and I am not fluent in Spanish but know that I have heard those words referred to as not such good words either. He then slowly exited the field. |

During the first half of the JV game, the head coach of the VARSITY TEAM who was not coaching the JV team, was sitting next to the JV team on his golf cart in the team area loudly, and expressively critiquing the officiating. The AR nearest to the coach in the first half overheard him say in a loud public voice, “between the center ref and the other AR I need to take a pill or go get a drink”.
As the game, progressed comments continued loud enough for me to take notice in the middle of the field. In the 70th minute the coach threw his arms up in the air, and using his voice loud enough for me to hear in the middle of the field, it takes two handballs for you to make a call? I stopped play and asked Coach Ferrin to come speak with me near the touch line. I specifically asked him to come near the touchline, away from everyone so we could talk privately. I asked him to stop with the loud comments, and he immediately challenged me by saying “you are going to ask me over for me making that comment”, continuing his degrading tone towards the officiating crew. I said no, all the comments you are making. I followed up with enough of the comments coach, can you be done. He replied back in a loud voice "I am done, now you go do your job.” After that comment, I showed the red card to him, to which he replied you cannot card me as I am not the JV coach and I am not coaching this game. I said back to him, “coach you are in the team area, you are acting as part of the team, you are dismissed". Coach Ferrin turned around, gathered his items, and left the team area.
The issue with this incident was the nonstop public loud comments towards the officiating crew during the JV game. I approached the coach in a calm normal voice, asking the coach to stop the loud disparaging comments, and my request was immediately challenged with continued degrading comments towards the officiating crew.

Coach recieved red card after screaming at the referee and then berating the referee to the AR. After being told to get in the coaches box coach continued to scream at the referee and did not move back to the coaches box. the Coach stated that the referee was coaching the players on the field and would not calm down. Coach was upset about a no call an a takle where game needed to be stopped because of an injury to a player. A dropped ball was given to Spanish Fork to kick back to Mountain view. |

Early in the game, the assistant coach for SF was verbally complaining about calls and no calls and was asked to refrain from doing this. I told him we would talk to the head coach but not assistants. At various times he would continue to complain about calls and I asked him to stop doing this. Early in the 2nd half he complained again and I gave him an official warning and told my partners he had been warned. I also told the head coach that she needed to take care of him because if he got a technical foul, she would have to sit on the bench. With about 4 or 5 minutes remaining, after I called a foul against SF and was proceeding to report the foul, he jumped up and was yelling at me about the call. I even gave him the stop sign and had warned him numerous times so I called a T on him. He then came out on the floor and got in my face and continued to yell. He was out of control and so I had to eject him from the game. I told the head coach that she would now have to sit for the remainder of the game but acted like she didn't even know the rule about sitting. She said that she was going to report me (us) and I said to go ahead. The coach sat but was up and down over the next minute or so and was not sitting per the rule. By then with only a minute or so I decided not to embarrass her by telling her to sit and was hoping one of my partners would have done that, which they didn't. I felt like I gave the assistant coach numerous opportunities to stay in the game but he was not going to cooperate. |
