4A/5A Wrestling Duals
The first Utah Wrestling Dual Match Tournament is right around the corner and I wanted to send out a reminder of the schedule and format. If you are the region champion please be sure to make all necessary preparations to host the first round and quarter final duals on Wednesday, January 27th. First round matches should be run simultaneously on two mats beginning at 5:00 p.m. The quarter final and consolation finals should follow beginning between 6:45 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. The winners of each region tournament need to report to Dave Vande Veegaete that evening by email so preparations can begin for the state tournament the following day. The semi-finals and finals are scheduled to be held at the Maverick Center in West Valley City, Thursday, January 28th. The skin checks and weigh-ins are scheduled to begin at 3:30 pm finishing at 4:00 pm.
As soon as your region has determined the top four teams and their region place for this year please email the information to Dave Vande Veegaete and he will get the bracket information updated.
